  • Nuts are so nutritious but many people avoid them because they think they are fattening.
During a TV program I saw some time ago a woman explained that because nuts rarely get fully digested the fat content stated on the packet is not the amount you would absorb. They are not as fattening as you migh think. Of course if you eat more calories from any food than your body uses for energy then it gets stored as fat.

  • Sonal,

Yummy! This post made me hungry the more I read it! I love nuts to just eat by themselves and in dishes. Since I’m allergic to wheat, I like using almond flour in some of my baking. It’s more expensive, but it can make some delicious chocolate chip cookies!! Thanks for making me feel a little bit better about eating nuts! ~Johanna

  • Hi Sonal,

I had no idea nuts were so healthy. I dearly love cashews and walnuts. I don’t eat them a lot because they are hard for me to chew and I know peanut butter is not the same but it’s what I gravitate towards.

    Very information post. Thank you.
