hi, I am a 42 years man. I am not feeling like having sex like I do few years ago with my wife. My wife is of 36 and she is very demanding for intercourse. But due to my less sex desire I do not get into bed with her.

I also do not feel the hardness like before so I also fear what if I cannot giver her pleasure. For some time I am very tensed because of these thoughts.

is it because of aging?
Any solution you can give?

Hi
It is very common to lose interest in sex after a particular time period. It is also common that your interests do not match your partner’s at times. There is nothing to worry about. Certain causes for low sexual desire are: Loss of libido, Low testosterone, Erectile dysfunction, Obesity, Social anxiety, Depression and Lifestyle
Once you are able to identify the cause, your doctor can suggest appropriate treatment options. For example:
• If loss of sex drive is related to stress or depression, psychotherapy alone or in combination with antidepressant medication may help.
• Some medical conditions, such as obstructive sleep apnea, can cause an unusually low testosterone level, and treatment can return your testosterone level and sex drive to normal.
• If a certain medication is contributing to loss of sex drive, your doctor may suggest an alternate medicine.

I hope it helps!
